You are sure to fall in love with this magnificent little auberge run by Yanick, who will welcome you in his beautifully furnished veranda or in his extraordinary garden to offer you the full range of typical Périgord dishes: tourin, foie gras, salad ("just" the presentation of this one is breathtaking), duck breast and dessert. One menu for everyone with the possibility to ask for a "vegetarian" option.
Book at least two days before coming: everything is home-made and nothing is prepared in advance.

Not so long ago, Maxime and Aurélia, brother and sister with a passion for gastronomy, left the Bassin d'Arcachon to take over this small restaurant in Liorac-sur-Louyre: they did well! Within a very short space of time, they received countless positive reactions to reach directly the *five-star* rating on Google. We were also delighted by their friendliness, the quality of the products they offer, the beautiful decoration of the place and... the proximity to Perrot, as the Améa restaurant is only 6 kilometres from our Domain.

We are big fans! The cosy restaurant LES MARRONNIERS is located in Lanquais, not far from the castle, only 11 kilometres from Perrot. A rustic dining room, a pleasant terrace, attentive staff and, above all, varied and delicious menus at affordable prices. The whole table enjoys a home-made soup before starting the chosen menus.

If you’d like to savor Lebanese mezze before the restaurant opens in August, you can do so over the weekend of 29, 30 and 31 May 2026. It will be open on the evening of Friday 29, the evening of Saturday 30 and at lunchtime on Sunday 31.

The village of Saint-Marcel-du-Périgord has "always" been one of our favourite places because this location is so beautiful, peaceful and charming - and so is Auberge Les Cèdres, located in the heart of this rural village.
Lucy and Sam welcome you in their Lebanese restaurant (that's something different from foie gras! 😎) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. You share several typical mezze dishes and finish with a tasty Lebanese dessert : everything is super delicious and the place is - as already mentioned - simply magical.
Remember to book a few days in advance, places are limited - and hotly requested 🤩.

We have already been told about it several times, and now we have finally tested it: the Chez Julien restaurant in Paunat. The idyllic and quiet location directly at the foot of the beautiful abbey church is already worth the trip.
Menu at 34 € and the option to choose à la carte.
Local and quality products: we ate very well and will definitely come back!
The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays only; bookings are always recommended for both lunch and dinner.

We discovered this lovely restaurant as part of the "Moments autour du Vin" gift pack, which I have also written about on our blog (in French). We had no trouble choosing the Bistrot du Presbytère which had been on our to-do-list for a while, and the village of Queyssac is one of our favourites ❤️ in the region.
What can we say? We were not disappointed. The setting (beautiful, peaceful), the welcome (very friendly), the menu (varied, local, copious, delicious)... an atmosphere of well-being that did us a world of good. Honestly, we found it hard to leave, but all good things must come to an end. Can't wait for the next time!

We have been looking for a good Italian restaurant in the region for some time now, and we heard that LE BELLA CIAO in Mauzac was the place to be if you were in the mood for a good pizza. Since May 2024, it has once again been possible to satisfy this desire there: Fans of the Italian savoury cake 😎, let's go!
LE BELLA CIAO also offers a wide selection of Italian dishes, each more appetising than the last, a pleasant setting (overlooking the Mauzac bridge and the Dordogne) and very reasonable prices. Open Friday to Sunday, for lunch and dinner. Don’t forget to book!

In addition to its hotel, holiday homes and golf course, Château Les Merles, which is only ten minutes away from us, also has a gourmet restaurant. Of course, it is not an everyday restaurant, but rather a place ‘for special occasions’; incidentally, we were there twice on the occasion of our wedding anniversary.
Whether in the castle courtyard by candlelight or by the large fireplace - the setting is beautiful! You should opt for the house wine to accompany your meal.
The restaurant welcomes you from breakfast to dinner, by reservation, every day:

Lunch noon to 2 pm
Dinner 7 to 9.30 pm

Another ‘big occasion’ - my 50th birthday - led us to another ‘big restaurant’: La Chartreuse du Bignac. What a setting, what a wonderful place! All this comes at a price, of course, but for special occasions (... and when you're invited),... 😉
Open for dinner only - and Sunday lunch.
Weekly closing: Tuesday evening

There was a time when I received a kitten as a gift for almost every birthday: both Jean-Charles and Gunther were gifts. Nowadays, we've calmed down 😎 and take the opportunity to enjoy a nice meal at a restaurant.
For my 51st birthday, we drove to Sainte-Alvère, where we had a lovely time at the DIX restaurant. Raphaël and Gemma offer a tasting menu with 4 or 6 courses (vegetarian menu available on request). We recommend the 6-course menu: it is delicious, original and prepared with love – and with local products.
And the setting... well, it's just beautiful.🤩
