DOCTORS, EMERGENCIES

Due to a considerable shortage of emergency doctors in the region, access to emergency departments at the department's three hospitals (Bergerac, Périgueux and Sarlat) and the private Francheville hospital in Périgueux has been regulated by a call to the emergency number 112 between 7 pm and 8 am, on a permanent basis. This regulation does not apply during the day.

During the night, patients are asked not to go spontaneously to the emergency department, but to call the 112 centre (Samu), which will refer them to emergency department or outpatient departments.
